I've always wanted to do this. Sometimes when I walk from one place to another, I'll purposely run against the wall until my character slows down to the appropriate speed, and then he walks so far before I have to leave the wall and "run" to where I really want to be.
Everyone's legs are tired, I bet.

Not that I don't think it would add another element of role playing to the game, but personally I find I don't actually role play. When interacting with others I speak and react the way I would rather than the way my character would. For example in trading I'm usually polite and patient and say things like "ty". However if I was really role playing, my W/N would be much more arrogant and demeaning and threaten and insult people he considered less than himself (which would be everyone.)
Therefore I personally don't want to walk more slowly because it's still me playing the game - the toons are just flashy bits of light on the screen.

Why don't you sign then ? You don't have to walk. Just like you don't have to use emotes, drink, etc. BTW it's not even linked to roleplaying, Diablo 2 included this feature, but you can hardly roleplay in this game...
The animations are already there, I don't think it would take that much time to create an emote.

Don't see how it would hurt as long as running isn't limited like in Runescape (if the mechanics have changed i apologise but its years since i played runescape and thats how i remeber it working)

That do not work inside outposts, where the idea is most wanted.

I'm still fairly new to the whole signing thing, but doesn't "/not signed" simply mean abstaining from signing the petition? I didn't mean I was opposed to the idea, simply I am not adding my signature to the list of supporters because I don't find it important.
